The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Benson Police Department, served a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of E. Kennedy Circle on Thursday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office STAR team and Narcotics Division executed the search warrant after an undercover operation reportedly involved the purchase of marijuana from the suspect, 26-year-old Kaylon Ikkee Barnes of Benson. Authorities reported that guns, 3-D printers, and computers were among the items seized from the residence. Barnes has been charged with two felony counts of selling and delivering marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
On May 31, Barnes was arrested by NC ALE after allegedly being found in possession of a Glock pistol converted to a fully automatic firearm. The investigation remains ongoing.
