New Boys and Girls Club Opens
In Selma, North Carolina, excitement buzzed as the new Boys and Girls Club facility opened its doors, thanks to a significant $665,000 grant from the USDA Rural Development. This investment has paved the way for a 5,000 square foot building dedicated to nurturing over 200 local youths aged 6-16. This space is not just a hub for educational and career development but also serves the community with before and after school services and meeting spaces. At the ribbon cutting, Robert Kerns from the USDA highlighted the club’s crucial role in developing young minds and characters. This new facility promises a brighter future for the children of Johnston County.
