In a surprising incident on US 70, Wilson’s Mills Police apprehended 25-year-old Michael Goodman after he was found asleep at the wheel of his self-driving Tesla. Alerted by concerned motorists about his condition, police officers had to intervene smartly by positioning their vehicles to activate the Tesla’s sensors and bring it to a halt. Upon awakening Goodman, a field sobriety test was conducted, which led to a vehicle search. The search revealed illegal narcotics including THC, methamphetamine, and MDMA, with an estimated street value of $100,000. Goodman faces multiple trafficking charges and was held on a $50,000 bond.
