The event occurred early Monday when 52-year-old Joseph Stanley Wagner was struck by a semi-truck as it exited an Amazon facility on US 70. The motorcyclist was tragically thrown from his bike and did not survive. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Kamha Kohnoh John Smith from Lithonia, Georgia, was apprehended in South Carolina. He faces charges of felony hit and run resulting in death. Authorities noted that Smith was transporting goods for a third-party company and not directly employed by Amazon. Smith currently awaits extradition to North Carolina.
