In Johnston County, a harrowing accident occurred at the junction of NC 96 North and Covered Bridge Road. Two vehicles were involved in the collision this Saturday afternoon, which resulted in the hospitalization of all three involved parties. The scene was intense, with a pickup truck flipped and its driver trapped inside until rescued by Corinth Holders Fire Department responders. Despite the severity of the crash, where a witness reported seeing the truck airborne before it overturned, injuries sustained by the occupants of the northbound passenger car were not life-threatening.
