In Selma, a significant drug bust has led to the arrest of 28-year-old Daniel Ines Yanes following a narcotics search at his home on River Road. This arrest came shortly after Yanes was stopped for speeding by local police where illegal substances and a firearm were initially discovered in his vehicle. The subsequent search of his residence yielded an alarming amount of drugs, including nearly 300 grams of cocaine and over two pounds of marijuana, alongside more firearms. Facing 15 charges, Yanes is currently held without bond. Authorities have emphasized the substantial impact of removing these drugs from the streets, valued at over $37,000.
