NCDOT Looking For Public Feedback

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is inviting public feedback on proposed enhancements for two major corridors in the Smithfield and Selma area. The proposed changes include installing reduced conflict intersections along U.S. 301, extending from Booker Dairy Road in Smithfield to Ricks Road in Selma. Additionally, considerations are being made to construct a raised median along U.S. 70. The open house event set for February 6th at the Johnston Community College Auditorium will give residents a chance to view design maps, pose questions, and voice opinions on the project. These efforts aim to increase safety and streamline traffic in the rapidly growing regions.
