In a significant breakthrough, detectives have apprehended 28-year-old Julian Frank Carpio in connection with a series of crimes in Benson. Carpio, of Tarheel Road, was arrested on February 2 and is held on a $110,000 secured bond. He is accused of burglarizing The Country Junction on January 20, making off with two microphones and an undisclosed sum of cash.
Additionally, Carpio is linked to a string of vehicle break-ins along Tarheel Road, where he allegedly targeted approximately nine cars, stealing a firearm during one incident. The weapon remains missing. Carpio now faces multiple felony charges, including breaking and entering, larceny, and larceny of a firearm, alongside a probation violation warrant.
