Benson Robbery Suspect Caught

A 25-year-old Benson man, Kadarius Laron Peoples, was arrested Monday following an alleged robbery at a Wilson GameStop. According to Sgt. Eric McInerny of the Wilson Police Department, Peoples is accused of shoving an employee and stealing a video gaming console during the incident, which occurred on January 20th at the Westwood Shopping Center location. Officers identified Peoples as the suspect, leading to his arrest in Johnston County. He now faces a charge of common-law robbery and is being held without bond at the Wilson County Detention Center. Peoples has a prior robbery conviction from 2018. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Wilson Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
