Cleveland Fire Department Vehicle Hit
In a concerning incident on Interstate 40 near the 312-mile marker, a Cleveland Fire Department vehicle was hit while attending to a prior traffic accident. A passenger car lost control and collided with the fire engine. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for treatment. Fire Chief Chris Ellington mentioned that firefighters were operating with a reserve truck since their primary one was out of commission after a similar incident in December. Ellington reassured the public that emergency services remain uninterrupted as arrangements are made to deploy another truck to maintain operations.
