In a devastating event in Sampson County yesterday morning, a fatal collision claimed the lives of two individuals and left two others hospitalized, including a young child. The incident occurred early in the morning on N.C. Highway 55 when a Honda Accord, driven by 30-year-old Eric Scott Little, veered across the centerline and collided head-on with a Kia Sorento, operated by 31-year-old Lauren Brittany Knuckles. Both drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Also involved was a 3-year-old girl, secured in a car seat, who is now receiving care at WakeMed alongside Ashley Morgan Walker, another passenger who sustained serious injuries. State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
