Drug’s Found During Traffic Stop in Lee County
In Lee County, a man facing drug trafficking charges in Wake County has been arrested again under new charges after a routine traffic stop. Phillip Stanley Thomas, 37, already monitored with an ankle bracelet for previous charges, was stopped by deputies on Colon Road near U.S. Highway 1. A police K-9 detected narcotics, leading to the discovery of several drugs including fentanyl and oxycodone, hidden in a box on the car’s exterior. Thomas is now facing multiple charges, including trafficking opioids and possession of marijuana. He’s currently held without bond as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the area.
