Four Oaks Woman Accused Of Embezzlement

A Four Oaks woman is accused of siphoning over $275,000 from her 87-year-old grandmother in what authorities describe as a shocking breach of financial trust. Thirty-year-old Jennifer Lea Snead allegedly misappropriated funds while responsible for managing her grandmother’s finances, spending nearly $147,000 on high-end jewelry alone. Police say the embezzlement began in June 2023 and continued into this year. Snead faces felony charges for exploitation of an elder adult and embezzlement of more than $100,000. She remains in custody on a $1 million secured bond, with a court date set for October 30, as investigations continue.
