In Smithfield, authorities are actively seeking a driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on January 17 at Carolina Premium Outlets. The collision happened when a 31-year-old woman from Four Oaks was hit by a light blue, older model Ford Mustang as she was exiting a parking space. Following the collision, the Mustang driver fled the scene. The victim was subsequently hospitalized for her injuries. The Smithfield Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
