A peculiar incident unfolded on Interstate 40 in Johnston County when a 21-year-old man was discovered slumbering behind the wheel of a vehicle. The car, a 2013 Toyota Highlander, had been reported stolen in Raleigh. Deputies found Bryan Hernandez Bonilla, who was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting a public officer. Further complicating his legal troubles, Bonilla was also served with a warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior simple assault charge from earlier this year. Currently, Bonilla is detained without bond, awaiting his initial court appearance.
