An unsettling incident unfolded in a Walmart parking lot on N. Brightleaf Boulevard, leading to a gun being discharged and a man sustaining minor injuries. Police report that around 12:18 a.m. on Saturday, a 47-year-old man from Salisbury, NC, who was attempting to sleep in his car, became distressed when another vehicle’s bright headlights shone on him. An altercation ensued, escalating to the point where the second individual fired a gun into the ground. The bullet ricocheted, striking the victim in the foot. Authorities are currently seeking to identify the shooter involved in this incident.
