A search for missing Benson resident Rickey McLamb ended in heartbreak late Monday. Authorities say McLamb, last seen June 6 driving a gold Buick LeSabre, was found deceased after his car was discovered wrecked near the intersection of Federal Road and Woodall Dairy Road in Johnston County. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and State Highway Patrol believe McLamb’s vehicle veered off the road and remained hidden from passing drivers for three days. Officials are continuing their investigation but currently consider the crash a single-car accident. Family and friends are mourning McLamb’s loss after days of uncertainty.
