The Johnston County Board of Elections will host a Photo ID Day from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, at the Kenly Public Library, located at 205 E. Edgerton St., Kenly. Residents of Johnston County who do not have a driver’s license or other photo ID can obtain one for free during the event. North Carolina now requires voters to show a photo ID before casting their ballots. The Johnston-issued ID will include the voter’s name and photo and will be valid for 10 years.
