In a swift response to a bank robbery in Goldsboro, authorities have successfully apprehended 47-year-old Jimmie Lee Wiggins of Princeton. The arrest, conducted by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and Goldsboro Police, took place without incident at around 11:19 AM on Progressive Church Road. Wiggins is accused of entering First Bank on Spence Avenue, where he allegedly threatened staff and made off with cash. He now faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and is being held without bond at the Wayne County Detention Center. Goldsboro Police have extended their gratitude to the community for aiding in the swift resolution of this case.
