In Clayton, a school bus carrying eight students collided with a 2017 Honda Accord around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Dairy Road and Barber Mill Road. Following the crash, one student was taken to Johnston Medical Center with what is described as a “possible minor injury.” The other seven students, along with the bus driver, were examined on-site by Johnston County EMS and released without any serious injuries reported. Authorities have not provided information on the condition of the occupants in the Honda. The school bus, which did not show significant damage, was seen pulling into a nearby memory-care facility’s parking lot before being driven away later. The incident is still under investigation.
