Smithfield Walmart Employee Faces Charges
A former employee of the Smithfield Walmart faces felony larceny charges after police allege she stole merchandise worth thousands of dollars while fulfilling online orders. Authorities say Tammy Waters Bomar, 56, of Selma, was arrested and taken to the Johnston County Jail on November 10 with a $10,000 secured bond. Investigators report Bomar allegedly kept various items from customer orders and placed them into her personal vehicle, resulting in approximately $10,000 in losses for the store. The alleged thefts spanned an extended period. Bomar is no longer employed at Walmart, and the investigation remains ongoing.
