In a tragic update from Clinton, a severe car crash has claimed the lives of two individuals late Sunday night. The State Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred on Reedsford Road when a speeding 2013 Hyundai veered off the road, colliding with a mailbox and two trees. The driver, 22-year-old Angel Moises Bonilla Garcia of Clinton, along with his passenger, 17-year-old Daniel Vasquez Gonzales of Dunn, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities noted that reckless driving and speed played significant roles in the fatal incident and are investigating the possible involvement of alcohol.
