Two Agricultural Spills Have Impacted Key Intersections In Clinton

In a concerning development, two agricultural spills have impacted key intersections in Clinton. Early Monday, animal waste sludge was reported near College and Beaman streets, followed by another spill at Faison Highway and Pugh Road. Police Chief Anthony Davis indicated both incidents involved the same substance, but the truck responsible was initially absent. Video evidence led officers to a biogas facility where the vehicle and its driver, Curtis Gurley, were located. As a result, Gurley faced multiple charges related to the spills. Mayor Lew Starling emphasizes the need for stricter laws to prevent future occurrences.
