Harnett County authorities are investigating two connected shootings that occurred Sunday afternoon just minutes apart. Deputies responded to Scooter Lane in Cameron around 3:45 p.m., where they found an 18-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He told deputies he had been shot while walking on McDuffie Road. Shortly after, Sanford Police reported two more gunshot victims on Palm Drive; one was declared dead at the scene and the other transported to UNC Hospitals. Investigators say the victims were all in the vicinity of Scooter Lane, but have yet to confirm if the shootings are linked. Anyone with information is urged to contact Harnett County authorities.
