Late Sunday evening, Clayton police swiftly responded to a burglary-in-progress report at Gold-N-Pawn on US 70 Business West. After arriving on the scene, authorities noticed two individuals attempting to flee from the premises. Following a short chase, both suspects were arrested in the vicinity of Boling Street. The culprits were identified as 22-year-old Cameron Sanderson and a 12-year-old juvenile, both local residents. Sanderson is facing multiple charges including attempted burglary and resisting arrest, and is held on an $8,000 bond. The young juvenile’s case will proceed in juvenile court. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement.
