In Sampson County, a tense pursuit ended with the arrest of two individuals, Jamarian Smith and Jason Scrivner, both 24, from Clinton. After allegedly firing shots at Eastover Terrace Apartments twice in one day, the duo then led police on a high-speed chase across city areas. Clinton Police Chief Anthony Davis confirmed that the arrests occurred hours after the shootings on Morrisey Boulevard. Both suspects face serious charges, including discharging a firearm, possession of a weapon of mass destruction, assault with a deadly weapon, and various drug offenses. They are currently being held without bond.
