On October 4th 2024, the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and narcotics division served a search warrant at 895 Festus Road in Coats, NC. During the search of the residence, approximately 6.7 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, along with six additional firearms, were seized. Thomas Ray Hayes, a white male born on January 30, 1975, of 895 Festus Road, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine. Hayes was given a bond of $450,000.00 and was placed in the Harnett County Detention Center.
