Clayton Police are actively investigating a reported assault on a local greenway trail. The incident occurred Tuesday around 11:39 AM when a female was attacked by an unidentified male half a mile west of the Sam’s Branch trail head. The assailant, described as a young black male around 5’7″ to 5’10″ in height with a short afro, fled towards City Road post-assault.
