Traffic on eastbound Interstate 40 in Johnston County experienced significant delays following a serious two-car collision Sunday night around 11:00 p.m. near the 316 mile marker. Authorities report that a westbound passenger car collided with another vehicle, leading to one of the cars overturning through the median and landing upside-down in the eastbound lanes. The accident resulted in both lanes being closed as emergency crews arrived. Both drivers were injured in the mishap, with one possibly facing serious injuries.
