In a violent confrontation early Tuesday in Harnett County, one individual was critically injured following a shooting involving multiple gunmen. According to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office, the altercation began in Sanford at the intersection of N.C. Highway 87 and U.S. Highway 421, eventually escalating at a Circle K store near Broadway Road. Authorities reported that the victim was shot several times and is currently in critical condition at a local hospital. The incident did not result in any other injuries among the store’s customers or employees. Investigations are ongoing as officials seek to determine the motives behind the shooting and identify those responsible.
